It all started when… Well lets just say a long time ago!
John and Shelley Erb are the patriarchs of Wagging Heart Kennels! In 1980 began the long journey to the inception of Wagging Heart Kennels. Long before the name was born in 2004 we have always had a keen interest in dogs. Throughout the years we have been farmers with an interest in livestock and genetics of our livestock, always optimizing and trying to make them better. Dogs have always been a very large part of our farming career, whether it was a border collie to help bring the cows in or a team of huskies to pull the dog sled! Actually! We did have a team of huskies at one point! We took our now grown children on dog sled rides through the country!
In 2004 the name Wagging Heart Kennels was born, due in part to our children’s keen interest in dogs, and the culmination of years of research, knowledge and experience in breeding dogs. We felt we had the knowledge and experience it takes to provide clients with the best possible experience of adopting a puppy from a professional breeder! Now in 2020 the year of vision, we are 40 years running but we are always looking to the future!
Wagging Heart Kennels is situated on a 90 acre farm just minutes from Blyth, Ontario (visit our contact page for directions) Our dogs enjoy the wide open spaces and romping across the farmland or swimming in the pond.
With over 40 years of experience in breeding dogs, we have the knowledge and experience it takes to provide our clients with a well rounded puppy in socialization, temperament and health. We thoroughly enjoy bringing wagging tails and happy hearts to your home. We have made it our mission to raise healthy puppies and ultimately to have a happy customer. Therefore we stand behind our puppies with a 2 year written guarantee against genetic defects.
Wagging Heart Kennels was born out of inspiration and also a desire to bring love and joy into others lives via a lovely puppy.
